Join folks from Urban Village, the Chicago Temple, and other area congregations to help provide a warm breakfast to hungry folks in downtown Chicago. After serving the meal and cleaning up, we will gather for a brief time of conversation, prayer, Bible Study, and fellowship, as we process our experiences and discern together some of the many ways that God may be at work in our lives and in the lives of those we serve. It’ll be bright and early — but it’ll be worth it! This ministry, a longstanding project of the Chicago Temple, usually feeds well over a hundred people each Saturday.
About Karen: Karen, a Wisconsinite turned Chicagoan, is an elementary school teacher in a Chicago public school for 9 months of the year and a world traveler for the other 3. She feels blessed to work with kids who teach her about patience, creativity, and curiosity as she teaches them. Karen loves karaoke, exploring new restaurants, street performers, learning languages, and hanging out with her amazing friends.
